When we relocated our business to new premises in 2013, we approached 3 signwriting companies to provide a proposed concept for the signage. One company did nothing, another overlaid our existing logo onto a photo of the building and added some additional colour panels  – both of which were not satisfactory. However, Ethan and his team came up with a totally new concept, that did not finish at just the building signage . . . it was in essence a rebrand and the timing suited given the new site. Whilst it took me a while to get my head around the change, looking back, it was a great move that has lifted our profile and brought us a new exciting modern look. During the whole process, Ethan was up front and willing to listen and address my concerns and ideas.

What better way to demonstrate our vehicle branding capability than with cutting edge sign and graphics wraps on our own vehicles?
The reaction we get from people who see our van for the first time is "Wow, that looks amazing!". That of course is the whole point. We asked Ethan to sign write our sales car with something to draw attention. WOW this is way beyond expectation! He provided great advice, is passionate about his work and it was back in a few days. His work is excellent.

We gave Clever Dog the task of doing the art work for our Tremains soap box, which was to be entered in the Sponsors’ Challenge at Tremains Art Deco Weekend 2015. Our designer, who had worked with Formula 1 design teams in the past, had spent countless hours refining the design to produce a sleek piece of engineering. We wanted the art work to be at this same high standard.

Ethan at Clever Dog was phenomenal; his attention to detail was spot on as he used a variety of techniques to produce a very attractive looking cart. He studied the Art Deco era and produced something that made our soap box look like something straight out of the period.

The end result was a head turning soap box that everyone wanted to grab a photo with, including the local paper. There’s no doubt that Ethan’s hard work was the icing on the cake that turned this beautifully made machine into an exceptional looking racer.”

 A job that really required some thinking outside of the square. The car was black but the Napier City Council branding guidelines insist that the War Memorial Conference Centre logo can only be reproduced on white. Anything is possible . . .
